The Csontváry Museum presents the work of Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka in the centre of Pécs, in the immediate vicinity of the Pécs Cathedral and the World Heritage Site of the Early Christian Tombs, at 11 Janus Pannonius u. The pictures miraculously escaped the end of their life, as they were auctioned off after the artist's death. It took the intervention of the architect Gedeon Gerlóczy for the paintings to reach Pécs.
