The Országház, or Hungarian Parliament Building, stands as an architectural treasure and a symbol of Budapest's rich history. This iconic building, with its picturesque setting on the banks of the Danube River, is not only the largest building in Hungary but also the third-largest parliament building in the world. Its construction began in 1885 and was completed in 1904, embodying the Neo-Gothic style with a Renaissance flair.

The Országház's grandeur is evident in its symmetrical façade and the central dome, which reaches a height of 96 meters, a number that holds significant national symbolism, marking the year 896 when the Magyars settled in the region. The building's intricate design features 691 rooms, 20 kilometers of stairs, and is adorned with 88 statues on its exterior walls, representing Hungarian monarchs and military commanders.

For tourists, the Hungarian Parliament offers guided tours, where they can marvel at the opulent interior, including the ornate Session Room, the Great Vaulted Hall, and the Holy Crown of Hungary, which is on display in the central hall. At night, the building is beautifully illuminated, creating a breathtaking spectacle along the river.
