El-Gölü, Tabriz

Nestled in the bustling city of Tabriz, Iran, lies the verdant oasis of El-Gölü, also known as Shah Goli, a historic and picturesque park that beckons visitors with its serene atmosphere. El-Gölü, which translates to "The Pool" in Azerbaijani Turkish, was originally designed as a water reservoir for agricultural purposes during the Qajar dynasty. The park's centerpiece is a sizable rectangular lake, which spans an area of approximately 54,675 square meters, providing a cooling effect on the surrounding environment.

A causeway cuts across the water, leading to a small artificial island in the middle of the lake. Here, a charming palace-like building stands, once a royal pavilion but now housing a restaurant that offers picturesque views of the park.
