Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, Yamoussoukro

The Basilica of Our Lady of Peace, located in the city of Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast, is a remarkable landmark that stands as a testament to both faith and ambition. The basilica is often compared to St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, and indeed, it was designed with inspiration from its famous counterpart. The dome of the basilica rises to a staggering height of 158 meters, with a cross that adds an additional 16 meters, making the structure an imposing presence on the Yamoussoukro skyline.
