Facts and practical information
The Esplanade is 8.75 hectares in the center of Riga, limited by Elizabeth, Kalpak, Krišjānis Valdemāra and Brīvības streets. The park houses monuments to M. Barlam de Tolli, O. Kalpaks, Rainis, J. Rozentāls, as well as the Orthodox Cathedral of Christ, the Latvian National Museum of Art and the Latvian Academy of Arts. Every year in September, the Poetry Days are held on the Esplanade. A bicycle path at the center -Berģi was built through the park.
