Ako was the ruler of Salaspils Livs and the eldest, who took the outstanding position in the Daugava in Livzeme. In 1203 the Daugava and Turaida Liv uprising against the Order of Swords was organized, inviting Lithuanians and Prince Vladimir of Polotsk. Fall in the battle of the island against the Crusaders, his head was brought to Riga and presented to Bishop Albert as a sign of victory over Liv King.
