Facts and practical information
Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Landwarów - a Catholic church in Landwarów.
The owner of the property, Władysław Tyszkiewicz, applied for permission to build the church as early as 1897, but to no avail. The consent to the construction of the temple was only issued in 1905. The local population in 10 days lifted a makeshift building, and the design of the church was entrusted to Orsino Bongie and Arrigo Boito, ordering the church to be a replica of the Milan church of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
The construction began in 1910, but due to the difficult political and financial situation, plans were changed and the church was built according to the design of Stefan Narębski. The first stage of construction was completed with the dedication of the church in 1926.
In the years 1927-1934 small work was carried out and a high tower was built. After the death of Władysław Tyszkiewicz, a grave chapel was built at the church. In 1942, decorating the walls inside the church began. Polychrome, frescoes and sgraffito were used. Jerzy Hoppen was the artistic director of this work. In 1955 the church was consecrated by Kazimieras Paltarokas.

The facades are decorated with lizen, rosette windows and arcaded frieze. On the facade there are three portals in the frames of bright stone blocks.
