Facts and practical information
An old synagogue in Kiejdany, called Western or Small - one of the three surviving synagogues in Kiejdany.
It was built in the second half of the 17th century in the Baroque style at the so -called The Jewish market, later was rebuilt in 1784. It is the only preserved stone synagogue from the Baroque period in Lithuania.
During World War II, it was devastated by the Nazis. Currently plays the role of a museum. Next to the building there is a new synagogue.
