Macikai POW and GULAG Camps

Macikai POW and GULAG Camps refers to the complex of prisoner-of-war camp and forced labor camps located near Macikai in German-occupied Lithuania and later, the Lithuanian SSR. The camp was opened and operated by Nazi Germany, and later became a Soviet prisoner-of-war camp No. 184, finally transforming into a Soviet GULAG forced-labour camp. It was located in the village of Macikai, 2 kilometres away from Šilutė in occupied Lithuania. ()
