Facts and practical information
Suspended high above the dense rainforest of Langkawi, the Langkawi Sky Bridge presents visitors with a breathtaking aerial view of the verdant island and the Andaman Sea. This architectural marvel in Malaysia is not just a bridge but a spectacular viewpoint that offers a unique perspective of the island's natural beauty.
Spanning 125 meters in length and situated at an altitude of 660 meters above sea level, the Sky Bridge curves gracefully around Mount Mat Cincang, Langkawi's second-highest peak. The pedestrian bridge, accessible via the Langkawi Cable Car, is one of the island's most exhilarating attractions, providing an immersive experience of the surrounding geo-park.
The structure's design is a feat of engineering, with the bridge anchored at a single point 82 meters away from the top station, creating a seemingly floating pathway amidst the clouds. The bridge can accommodate up to 250 people at a time, allowing visitors to stroll along its deck and take in panoramic views. The deck is fitted with two triangular platforms that serve as viewing areas, offering 360-degree vistas that are especially stunning at sunrise and sunset.
Safety is paramount on the Sky Bridge, with robust railings and a sturdy mesh floor ensuring a secure experience for all ages. The bridge is also equipped with benches where visitors can sit and absorb the serene environment.
