The Marshall Islands in most of its area (the southern and central atolls of Ratak Chain and Ralik Chain) lie in the humid equatorial climate zone, only the northern atolls (Enewetak, Bikini, Rongelap, Taka, Utirik, Taongi) are in the sub-equatorial climate zone.
