The Cape penduline tit, also known as the southern penduline tit, is a diminutive bird belonging to the Remizidae family. These small birds can be found in countries such as Angola, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. They flourish in dry savannahs, subtropical or tropical dry shrublands, and regions with Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation.
Measuring a mere 8 cm in length, the Cape penduline tit is among the smallest birds in Africa. It shares its petite stature with close relatives, the grey penduline tit and the mouse-coloured penduline tit.
