Tjasker Bolsward, Bolsward
Facts and practical information
The Tjasker Bolsward is a Frisian postal jasker with the function of a polder mill. The 1973 mill was restored in 1988. Owner is the municipality of Bolsward.
The windmill is located in the east of Bolsward in the park near the Kloosterlaan and experiences wind obstruction due to high vegetation. In 2008 the condition of the mill was bad: there were holes in the wood of the barrel mill. In 2009, the inner rod had sunk through the shaft head. On October 28, 2013, a severe storm destroyed the sails.
in October 2014, the mill was removed for restoration, and on May 12, 2015, the largely renovated tjasker was reinstalled.
The property has municipal monument status.
