De Noorman, Westkapelle

De Noorman is the only remaining mill in Westkapelle. Until the bombardment of Westkapelle, to inundation of Walcheren, two more mills stood here, De Roos and the Prins Hendrik.

This round post mill is an upper mill made of yellow ijssel stone. The mill dating from 1852 towers over the village with its more than 23 metres. After the lighthouse, this is the tallest building in Westkapelle.

This mill is home to the Zeeland Mill Museum.
