Tjasker, Weerribben-Wieden National Park
Facts and practical information
The Tjasker Ossenzijl is a tjasker on the Hoogeweg between Kalenberg and Ossenzijl in the Dutch province of Overijssel.
The mill was built in 1977 in the nature reserve De Weerribben. With this mill the reed lands behind are provided with water. A little further south at the Hoogeweg there is a tjasker and a spider mill called De Wicher. In the Kop van Overijssel the tjasker was used in several places to drain small plots.
This tjasker has wooden rods with a length of 5.55 meters that are hoisted crossways. The object has the status of municipal monument.
