De Nijverheid
Facts and practical information
The mill De Nijverheid is a windmill on the Molensingel in the Dutch town of Ravenstein. It is a round stone scaffold mill set up as a corn mill. The mill was restored in the 1960s after a period of decay, after which it was used for grinding until the end of the 1980s. This came to an end with the death of the owner at the time. De Nijverheid is now owned by the Ravenstein Mill Foundation. The last restoration was in the 90s of the 20th century.
Spelt is milled and sold at De Nijverheid. The annex of the mill houses city brewery Wilskracht. The mill therefore adorns the label of the brewery's beer bottles.
