Facts and practical information
The Grenslandmuseum is located in a building from around 1787. This building is the oldest building in Dinxperlo, a town in the Gelderse Achterhoek region. The museum opened in 1985. With authentic material it gives a picture of Dinxperlo in the Netherlands and Suderwick in Germany and the border that lies between these two villages since 1766.
The collection consists of confiscated weapons, uniforms, a fur coat originating from a protected species, drugs, German emergency money, documents, photographs and many objects, which give an impression of everyday life at the time, the impact on border traffic during World War II and the work of the customs authorities.
