Zeezicht, Hellevoetsluis
Facts and practical information
The Zeezicht windmill near Nieuwenhoorn on Voorne-Putten in South Holland dates from 1718. It is a round stone ground sailor. Its predecessor on the same spot was a wooden standerd mill that blew over in 1717.
The corn mill milled with three pairs of grinding stones until 1966. After the milling business closed down, it housed an antique shop, among other things. The whitewashed exterior dates from that time. Since the restorations in the nineties, the mill is once again rotating. When the mill is running, it is open to the public.
