Arctic Cathedral, Tromsø

The Arctic Cathedral, officially known as Tromsdalen Church, is an architectural marvel located in the city of Tromsø, Norway. This iconic church, built in 1965 and designed by the architect Jan Inge Hovig, stands as a testament to modern design and spiritual solace amidst the Arctic landscape. Its distinctive peaked roof and stark white exterior draw inspiration from the natural surroundings, resembling icebergs or the jagged edges of nearby mountain ranges.

The cathedral's facade is dominated by a monumental stained glass window that is one of the largest in Europe.
