People's Park in the Sky, Tagaytay

Perched atop the highest point of Tagaytay, the People's Park in the Sky offers a panoramic view that has captivated both locals and tourists alike. This urban oasis, nestled in the province of Cavite, Philippines, is an unfinished mansion converted into a park, known for its serene atmosphere and stunning vistas of Taal Volcano and the surrounding landscape.

Originally intended as a guesthouse for visiting dignitaries, the structure, known as the "Palace in the Sky," was commissioned during the Marcos era. However, the construction was halted and never completed. Despite its unfinished state, the site was repurposed into a public park, which has since become an iconic landmark of Tagaytay.

Standing at an elevation of approximately 2,000 feet above sea level, the park's vantage point is unmatched in the region. Visitors can climb the park's urban ruins to reach the viewing deck, where the sweeping views of the Taal Lake and the volcano within it are truly breathtaking. On a clear day, one can even catch a glimpse of the South China Sea on the horizon.
