Museum of the Wielkopolska Uprising of 1918-1919, Poznań

Museum of the Wielkopolska Uprising 1918-1919 - a museum in Poznań, a branch of the Wielkopolska Museum of Independence, located in the Odwach building at 3 Old Market Square.

The Museum documents the outbreak and course of the Wielkopolska Uprising in 1918-1919 and presents the history of the independence movement in Wielkopolska from the first half of the nineteenth century to the end of the interwar period. The collection includes iconographic materials, documents, uniforms, militaria, flags, and decorations. The collections were opened to the public on December 18, 2001. The Museum was created in place of the former Museum of the History of the Workers' Movement, which had existed since 1961. Permanent exhibition is a modern and attractive form of historical and museum communication about Wielkopolska Uprising. The exhibition is complemented by multimedia.

As a branch of the Wielkopolska Museum of Independence, it is entered on the list of museums kept by the minister responsible for culture and national heritage protection, in accordance with Article 5b of the Act of 21 November 1996 on museums.
