Ławeczka Starszych Panów, Opole
Facts and practical information
The Old Men's Bench is located on the University Hill in Opole.
It is the work of a sculptor from Opole, Professor Marian Molenda.
The design was chosen from among seven concepts presented by the Author to the initiator of the monument - professor Stanisław S. Niciea. It depicts the two artists sitting at the ends of a bench, moving softly from a piano keyboard to a ribbon of paper.
The Monument to the Elderly Gentlemen was erected on the hill on 4th June 2010 next to the monuments to Jerzy Grotowski, Agnieszka Osiecka, Czesław Niemen and Marek Grechuta, which were also built earlier on the initiative of Prof. Niciea.
