Muzeum Instrumentów Muzycznych, Poznań

Museum of Musical Instruments in Poznań - a branch of the National Museum in Poznań, a museum of musical instruments, the only one of its kind and size in Poland, the third largest in Europe. Located in the Old Market Square in Poznań, in three historic buildings.

As a branch of the National Museum in Poznań, it is entered in the State Register of Museums, kept by the minister responsible for culture and national heritage protection, in accordance with Article 13 of the Act of 21 November 1996 on museums.

On February 26, 2020, on the 93rd anniversary of the proclamation of "Dabrowski's Mazurka" as the national anthem, a bronze plaque was unveiled on the facade of the building from ul. Woźna unveiled a bronze plaque commemorating the creators of three Polish anthems: Wybicki - author of the words "Dąbrowski Mazurka", Karol Kurpiński - composer of "Warszawianka" - the anthem of the November Uprising and Feliks Nowowiejski - composer of "Rota". It was created on the initiative of Adam Kochanowski, a Poznań publicist. It was founded by the Foundation for the Protection of Monuments of Wielkopolska, the Foundation for the Development of the City of Poznań and the Institute of National Remembrance, Poznań Division, and created by sculptors Robert Sobociński and Aleksander Korczak.
