Long Market, Gdańsk

The Long Market, known in Polish as Długi Targ, is a historic square located in the heart of Gdańsk, Poland. This picturesque market square is a testament to the city's rich heritage and a prime example of Gdańsk's architectural splendor. It forms a part of the Royal Route, which was once the path of processions for Polish kings visiting this vibrant port city.

Lined with ornate, colorful facades, the Long Market is surrounded by buildings that date back to the late Middle Ages, with many reconstructed meticulously after the destruction of World War II. The square is dominated by the presence of the Neptune Fountain, a bronze statue of the sea god that has become an emblem of the city.
