Muzeum Drukarstwa, Cieszyn
Facts and practical information
The Museum of Printing in Cieszyn was established in 1996 to commemorate the printing traditions in Cieszyn Silesia. In its collections there is a typographic machine with a set of fonts, chemigraphic and woodcut matrices, presses and bookbinding devices.
On April 1, 2019, the museum was closed and its expansion began. Due to the requirements posed by the EU project, the Association of the Museum of Printing in Cieszyn, was no longer able to independently run the facility in the shape envisaged in the project. After the renovation, organizational changes took place, and the management of the institution was entrusted by the Municipality of Cieszyn to the Cieszyn Castle, which in cooperation with the association operates the object.
