Rezerwat Małga

Małga Nature Reserve - a reserve located in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in Szczytno County, Jedwabno Municipality, in the forest districts of Dębowiec and Uścianek.
It was created on the basis of the Regulation of the Minister of Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry for the protection of nesting and feeding grounds of rare bird species and preservation of cranes' roosting grounds. The reserve includes swampy section of Omulwia valley, near destroyed village Malga. In the village, next to the ruins of a destroyed church, a red brick tower has survived. There are extensive sedges, reeds and willow-birch thickets.
The reserve covers an area of 163.92 ha.
In the reserve there are breeding places of, among others, cranes, swans, black grouse, lapwings, corncrakes. Otters and wolf tracks can be found here.
