Poszła Karolinka do Gogolina is a Silesian folk song. The song is the bugle-call of Gogolin, it also inspired a large monument erected in the center of Gogolin, and the figures of Karolinka and Karliczek have been immortalized in the coat of arms of the municipality of Gogolin. It is one of the songs in the repertoire of the band Śląsk.
The song was recorded by Juliusz Roger in his collection of Songs of the Polish People in Upper Silesia with music, published in 1863 in Wrocław. Roger notes three versions of the song.
The first of them is placed under number 129. In this version Karolinka goes to Bogumin, the song has eight stanzas, and the first of them reads Poszła Karolinka / Do Bogumina / A Karliczek za nią / A Karliczek za nią / With a flask of wine.
The second version was annotated by Roger as originating from the district of Lubliniec. It differs from the previous one in metre and tempo, a completely different melody, and the opening lines.
The third version noted by Roger consists of ten stanzas of 5 lines each. In this version the heroine's name is Karlinka, and Bogumin has been replaced by Gogolin. The initial lines read Jechała Karlinka / To Gogolin / And Karliczek followed her, / Like a young lady, / With a flask of wine.
