Regional Museum in Świebodzin - a museum based in Świebodzin. The museum is a municipal organizational unit, and its seat is located in the Świebodzin town hall.
The museum was established in 1971 on the initiative of the Friends of Świebodzin Region Society. It was not the first museum of this type in the city - in the years 1903-1945 there was a municipal collection, which was transformed in the 1930s into the Local Museum. The collection was dispersed during World War II.
The institution occupies six rooms of the building, where two permanent exhibitions have been organized: "Nature of the Lubusz Land", showing the local richness of flora and fauna, "History of the City and Region", containing exhibits related to the history of the city and region, starting from the Middle Ages until the years of reconstruction of Świebodzin after World War II. The exhibits include military items, numismatic items, old maps, souvenirs of old crafts and art collections.
Since 1986 it has been possible to admire the panorama of the city from the Town Hall tower.
The museum is a year-round facility, open daily. There is an admission fee.
