Kościół pw. Świętego Krzyża

Holy Cross Church in Oborniki is a Roman Catholic branch church belonging to the Oborniki parish of Divine Mercy. It is located in Oborniki, in Greater Poland Province. It belongs to Oborniki deanery of Poznań archdiocese.

The temple was built in XIV century as a half-timbered structure and restored in 1766 by Lucja Loyczykowska, a burgher from Obornice. It was renovated in 1883 and 1914. It is a one-nave building, with a narrower, triangularly closed chancel and a vestry adjoining it from the north. Above the western porch there is a tower with boarded walls. The roofs are covered with tiles. The tower is covered with a bulbous cupola with a lantern, covered with sheet metal. Inside there are ceilings with facets of unequal height in the nave and the presbytery. On the ceiling there is a polychrome from the twenties of the twentieth century, in the chancel there is the Eye of Providence in a flaming gloria. Late Baroque and Rococo furnishings come mainly from the time of the temple's construction. The main altar contains a Gothic crucifix from the mid-16th century, next to it there is a kneeling sculpture of Mary Magdalene from the second half of the 18th century. Side altars are equipped with late Baroque paintings. On the cross beam there is a foundation inscription "The present church of St. Cross was built in the year of our Lord 1766 at the expense of Mrs. Loyczykowska".
