Brama forteczna w Drezdenku
Facts and practical information
Fortress Gate in Drezdenko - a fortress gate located in Drezdenko at 12 Wolności Square. It is a remnant of the fortifications of the former Drezdenko fortress and was built shortly after the middle of the 17th century in place of an earlier bulwark.
The two-storey object is currently used as a residential building, which has been the case since 1763, when the gate was rebuilt in connection with the liquidation of the fortifications by adding an attic storey covered with a mansard roof. Entrance to the second floor is possible from the level of the rampart, which was a functional solution for soldiers on guard duty. The building is decorated with ornaments, some of which certainly date from the time of the gate's construction.
In the immediate vicinity of the gate is the Drawsko and Notecka Forest Museum.
