Facts and practical information
Kośno Lake Nature Reserve - a landscape reserve established in 1982. It occupies an area of 1253.8 ha. It includes a large eutrophic lake Kośno surrounded by forests. The reserve is a sanctuary for waterfowl and birds of prey. It is located in the Warmia-Masuria Province in the communes of Purda and Pasym, a small part of the reserve lies in the Jedwabno commune. The administrator is the Olsztyn and Jedwabno Forestry Commission.
The reserve is dominated by pine. There are also birch, spruce, alder.
Surrounding towns: Lajs, Tylkowo.
