Facts and practical information
St. Stanislaus Church in Sobkow - a Roman Catholic parish church located in the former town, now village of Sobkow, in Świętokrzyskie province. It belongs to Chęciny deanery of Kielce diocese.
The church was built around 1560 as an Arian congregation of Polish Brethren by the first owner of Sobkow, Stanislaw Sobek from Sulejow. His son Stanislaw Sobek junior gave the church to the Catholics around 1570. At that time a parish community was established at the church, although the formal parish was the community operating at the temple in Mokrsk. After a thorough restoration of the temple, which was done by a then owner of Sobkow, Stanislaw Szaniawski, in 1744 bishop Michal Kunicki consecrated the church.
