Juliusz Słowacki Park in Wrocław, is a park located in the Old Town area - near the so-called New Town. Partially it also lies in a place of a buried section of the city moat, a fragment of which for some time was an estuary of the Oława river. The park covers an area of 5.74 ha.
The park received its name by virtue of the resolution of the Wrocław City Council no. LXXI/454/93 of 9 October 1993 on the names of parks and forest areas existing in Wrocław. The park is located between the following streets: Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Street, Jana Ewangelista Purkyniego Street, Juliusz Słowacki Avenue and a street running from Most Pokoju to Plac Społeczny, next to Powstańców Warszawy Square. The Old Town Promenade runs through the park.
Within the street quarter where the park is located, there are also two building complexes surrounded by park greenery: Museum of Architecture and Panorama Racławicka. In the park itself there is a number of architectural objects and small architecture: The park located in the center of the city - is surrounded by numerous objects of history, culture, architecture and the headquarters of institutions. To the east, beyond the street, there is Powstańców Warszawy Square in front of the Voivodship Office building, to the south, beyond Juliusz Słowacki Avenue, there is the Post Office building, the Hilton Hotel, Galeria Dominikańska, to the west, beyond Bernardyńska Street: TP SA building, to the north, behind Jana Evangelista Purkyniego Street: the school, the Academy of Fine Arts and the Radisson Hotel, and further on, Plac Polski and Xawery Dunikowski Boulevard, Bricklayer's Bastion, Gondola Bay, and the National Museum.
Trees: maples, chestnuts, lindens, oaks, hornbeams, beeches, ash trees and willows. Shrubs: forsythia, jasmine, lilac, azalea, mahonia, yew, and juniper.
In the park were found, among others, tawny owl and house marten. More than 30 species of birds can be found here.
