Facts and practical information
Kadyński Las Nature Reserve - a forest reserve located in the municipality of Tolkmicko in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Province, in Kadyny forest district. It was established by order of the Minister of Forestry and Wood Industry on 27 October 1972 in order to "preserve a fragment of an old beech forest for scientific, didactic and landscape reasons". The reserve covers an area of 8.11 ha.
"Kadyński Las" is located at the back of the historic palace complex in Kadyny. There are century-old beeches, ash trees, oaks, many of them are nature monuments. Near the reserve there is an oak alley, which contains, among others, the magnificent Ba¿yñski Oak.
There are rare and interesting protected plants, such as lily of the valley, woodruff, coral kalina, common periwinkle, ivy, forest warbler, bluebell and lily of the valley.
The reserve is part of the Elbląg Upland Landscape Park.
