Brama Zwierzyniecka

Zwierzyniecka Gate - a monument in the neo-Gothic style from the second half of the nineteenth century, located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in the district of Kraków, in the municipality of Krzeszowice, in Tenczynku. The building was entered in the register of monuments of the Provincial Office for Monuments Protection in Krakow.
It is the entrance gate to Zwierzyniec located in Zwierzyniec Forest belonging to Tenczyn castle - the last of four that survived so far. It is located on the edge of the forest between Eliza villa and Tenczynek forester's lodge of Krzeszowice Forestry District, in Rzeczki - the easternmost part of Tenczyn, by the district road 2121K to Niedźwiedzia Góra quarry and former Krystyna Mine. It is decorative, on both sides of the road stand tall brick towers with falcons and greyhounds. The gate consists of six brick pillars. The two middle ones surrounded the main gate, they were crowned with sculptures depicting deer, while their upper parts were decorated with animal heads. Above the main gate there was an openwork frame cast in cast iron and crowned with the coat of arms of the Potocki family from nearby Krzeszowice, its owners. Between a pair of symmetrical lower pillars there were smaller side gates. The side pillars connected with the main ones were crowned with figures of greyhounds facing the deer.
The gate underwent restoration in 2011-2012.
