Facts and practical information
Holy Trinity Church in Łobżenica is a Roman Catholic parish church in the town of Łobżenica. It belongs to the £ob¿enica deanery. It is located on Mickiewicza Street.
Originally a late Gothic temple from the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, rebuilt in 1662 in Baroque style, after the expansion of 1931-1932 it retained few stylistic features. The expansion consisted of extending the western part of the building and building a tower. A low side nave was added on the northern side. The extension is commemorated by the date 1932 written in plaster.
It is an oriented building, made of brick, plastered, hall-like, built on an elongated rectangular plan. To the left and right of the altar there are chapels. The southern chapel was probably built in 1662. The second of them represents Baroque architecture. The crypt was built on a square projection. It has a higher roof in contrast to the main nave and is covered with a dome. The walls of the nave are separated by cornices.
The main altar is baroque, probably made in 1662. It has been renovated many times and partially supplemented. The retable, i.e. the painted altar set at the back of the altar consists of three parts.
The temple has two side altars. Both are Baroque, the left one was made in the second half of the 17th century, the right one in the third quarter of the 17th century.
