Facts and practical information

Palace and park complex in Krowiarki - a palace surrounded by a park located in Poland, in the province of Silesia, in the district of Racibórz, in the municipality of Pietrowice Wielkie, in the village of Krowiarki.

It was a former seat of the Strachwitz, Gaschin and Donnersmarck families. It was built by Ernest Joachim Strachwitz in 1826 on the site of the previous wooden manor house from the 17th century. In the years 1852-1877 the palace was rebuilt and a park was created. The palace has, among others, a wing of Art Nouveau character, in which one can find neo-Renaissance and neo-Baroque styles, a triaxial front part of the palace, which is topped with a quadrilateral tower with a richly decorated octagonal cupola. Currently the palace is uninhabited and falling into ruins.
