Nowa Kuźnia Pond Nature Reserve - a floristic reserve with an area of 28.91 ha, located in the municipality of Prószków in Opolskie Province. It is located in the village of Nowa Kuźnia, within the area of the Protected Landscape Area "Bory Niemodlińskie". It was created on the strength of a decree issued by the Minister of Forestry and Wood Industry on November 27, 1957.
In addition to the pond, the reserve also includes its immediate surroundings - a wide strip of wet meadows overgrown with willow and alder trees.
On the reserve, in addition to water nut anchor, many species of rare aquatic plants are recorded, including white water lily, yellow water lily, floating salvinia, small float, common float. The area of the reserve is also the place of occurrence of rich water and marsh avifauna. A total of 135 species of birds have been observed here, including species rare in the country and region - including black stork, bittern, bittern, hobo, Eurasian flycatcher.
The reserve initially occupied 20.00 ha, in 2012 it was enlarged to 28.91 ha. The area of the reserve is under active protection.
