The Center was established in 2009 as a unit to carry out projects related to the history of World War II and the Holocaust. The exhibition part itself was opened in April 2012. It includes a permanent exhibition on the history of the Nazi labor camp in Pustków and the Waffen-SS testing ground, where V-1 and V-2 missiles were tested. As part of the exhibition, arranged in buildings modeled on the camp barracks, the visitors can see documents, prisoners' mementoes, articles of daily use, tools, and a model of the camp and the training ground. The Center also includes a monument on top of the "Mountain of Death", where from 1941 the camp crematorium was located to burn the bodies of prisoners who were murdered and died in the camp. The "Road of Suffering" leads to it, along which fourteen sculptures in the shape of human hands have been placed.
The center is a year-round facility; admission is charged.
