Zalew Zemborzycki, Lublin
Facts and practical information
Lake Zemborzyckie - a retention and recreation reservoir on the Bystrzyca River, located within the administrative borders of Lublin, in the Zemborzyce district. The reservoir was created in 1974 with the help of community work by Lublin residents.
A consequence of the decisions made when creating the reservoir is poor water quality. Blue-green algae blooms are a perennial problem. In 2019, Wody Polskie started a program to revitalize the lake. The renovation may take up to 4 years and include a complete draining of the water.
