Nature reserve Źródliska w Dolinie Ewy - a forest nature reserve that was established in 1983 within the Tri-City Landscape Park. It covers 12.04 ha of a fragment of an erosion valley on a moraine edge in the forested western part of Gdańsk Oliwa, including the headwaters of the Powder Brook. The Szymbarskie Hills tourist trail leads through the reserve. The area of the reserve is managed by the Gdansk Forestry Commission and supervised by the Regional Directorate of Environmental Protection in Gdansk.
Natural spring plant communities are protected; especially riparian, herbaceous, and rush communities, including manna reed, rarely found in low-lying areas. In the reserve 194 species of vascular plants were found, of which 3 are strictly protected and 6 are partially protected. It is worth to pay attention to the mountain-sub-mountain species: mountain sedge, lily of the valley, lungwort, lilac, gray alder, valerian, forest forget-me-not. The natural value of the reserve is emphasized by as many as 10 plant species that are on the list of vanishing and endangered plants of Western Pomerania and Wielkopolska. These are: spikenard, common violet, forest fescue, lilac spinulose, orchid Listeria ovata, woodruff, mountain sedge, wood sorrel, wolfsbane, and forest vetch. The spring flora is represented by the liverwort coneflower, as well as water mint, bobwhite fern, and pale pink willowbush.
