Matyska
Facts and practical information
Matyska - a hill located between the villages of Radziechowy and Przybędza near Żywiec in the southwestern part of the Żywiec Basin.
On the eastern side, the Matyska slope gently descends to lower elevations: Berry and Podleszcze.
The Millennium Cross in Matyska village is a destination for pilgrims. In September 2009, the construction of fourteen Stations of the Cross - the Golgotha of the Beskids - was completed there.
From the top of the hill there is a view of the surroundings - you can see Bielsko-Biala, the Little Beskid, Zywiec, Zywieckie Lake, and many peaks of the Beskid Slaski and Zywiec, including Skrzyczne, Babia Gora, Rysianka, Hala Lipowska, and many others.
On the slopes of Matyska grows a rare in Poland fox's toad.
