Leon Deyka Fire Fighting Museum in Przodkowo - a museum located in the village of Przodkowo. The museum is run by local Voluntary Fire Brigade.
The museum was established in 1994 at the initiative of the local chief fire officer, Leon Deyk, and is housed in the firehouse. In the years 2010-2014, the building was expanded, thanks to which the museum gained new exhibition spaces. The opening of the new facility was attended by, among others, General Wiesław Leśniakiewicz - Chief Commandant of the State Fire Service. On the 1st anniversary of the death of firefighter Leon Deyk, on September 1, 2016, the Fire Fighting Museum in Przodków was named after him. In addition to the fire station and the museum, the building houses the Rescue Education Center and the Communal Social Assistance Center.
Exhibits related to the history of the fire department in Przodkowo are presented in the museum. Among the collections there are fire engines based on cars: Scania, Star 25 and Żuk, horse and hand fire engines, motor pumps, equipment and clothing, flags, photographs and documents. Some exhibits came to the museum from abroad: from Switzerland, the USSR and East Germany.
Tours of the museum are by arrangement with the curator.
