Velký Sošov / Soszów Wielki, Wisła
Facts and practical information
Soszów Wielki - a mountain peak in the Czantoria Range in Beskid Śląski. The ridge through the peak runs the state border between Poland and the Czech Republic.
It lies between the peaks of Cieślar in the south and Mały Soszow in the north. The top is flattened and stretched towards the west. The western slopes are quite steep, dissected by the valleys of several water streams, descend to the Głuchówka valley, already on the Czech side. The eastern slopes are steep and descend to the close of the Jawornik valley.
About 500 m north of the peak there is a private tourist hostel on Soszów Wielki built in 1932. Next to the hostel there is a junction of tourist trails leading towards Czantoria Wielka and Stożek, and among others towards Wisła Jawornik. The Main Beskid Trail runs through the peak. On the ridge, a little north of the peak there is a mountain guesthouse "Zagroda Lepiarzówka".
