Professor Benon Polakowski Warminski Forest Nature Reserve - a forest nature reserve located in the municipalities of Stawiguda and Purda in Olsztyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It was created in 1982 under the name of the Warminski Forest in the New Ramuki Forest District. It is located between Lake Łańskie and the village of Ruś. The area of the reserve is 1819.72 ha.
The reserve was established to protect: forest areas, which are characterized by a high degree of naturalness - deciduous forests, mixed coniferous forests, ash and alder forests, wet forests and swamp forests, a section of the Lyna River - a 6.5 km long breakthrough, from the outflow from Lake Łańsk through Lake Ustrych to the village of Ruś, 4 lakes: Ustrych, Galik, Jełguń, Oczko.
The surface of the reserve is undulating moraine terrain with numerous wet depressions. The attraction of the reserve is the valley of the Łyna River. At the section between Ustrych Lake and Rust village the river has a submontane character. In the Warminski Forest there are forest lakes and barrows dating back 2000 years.
In 2013, near the outflow of the Łyna River from Lake Ustrych, a commemorative boulder was unveiled with the inscription "Professor Benon Polakowski's Nature Reserve Las Warmiński" and at the same time the name of the reserve was changed to commemorate Professor Polakowski - an outstanding Polish botanist, meritorious for the protection of the nature of Warmia and Mazury.
