Professor Roman Kobenza's Łyna Springs Nature Reserve - an inanimate nature reserve located in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Province, in the municipality and forestry division of Nidzica, near the villages of Orłowo and Łyna, at the headwaters of the Łyna River.
The main purpose of establishing the reserve was to preserve the Łyna's spring area and protect the spring's back erosion. The area of the reserve is mainly mixed forests.
The reserve was established in 1959 on the area of 103.41 ha. In 1967 it was enlarged to 121.04 ha. Currently the area of the reserve is 122.22 ha.
The reserve was named in honour of Roman Kobendza - botanist, dendrologist, professor of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, who discovered and researched the sources of the river Lyna, and in 1937 co-created the statute of this reserve.
The reserve does not have a protection plan, but there are protection tasks in force, under which the area of the reserve is subject to active protection.
