Castle on Ostrów Tumski in Wrocław - the former residence of Wrocław castellans and later of the Piast dukes of the districts on the western edge of Ostrów Tumski. Of the walled castle dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, which was built on the site of a castle that had existed since the 10th century, only the badly deformed St. Martin's Church and a few fragments within other buildings or under the ground level have survived. The former castle occupied an area on both sides of the contemporary St. Martin Street between the Oder River, Swietokrzyska Street and the buildings of 10 and 12 St. Martin Street.
