Museum of the Province of the Bernardine Fathers in Lezajsk - a museum based in Lezajsk. The institution is run by Bernardine Fathers, and its seat is the premises of the Leżajsk complex of Bernardine church and monastery.
The project for the museum was approved by the Provincial Congregation of the Order in 1960, and it opened in 1971. Its organizer and first director was Fr. Kajetan Grudzinski, who held the position until his death in 1996. He was succeeded by Fr. Efrem Obruśnik. The fifteen rooms of the south-western part of the monastery building house the monuments from the Bernardine churches located in the areas lost after World War II and from other monasteries of the province. Among the holdings there are paintings and sculptures on religious themes, objects of religious worship, Sarmatian portraits and illustrated manuscripts from the monastic library, numbering about 24,000 volumes.
The museum is a year-round facility, open daily. Tours are by appointment with the collections supervisors.
