Kościół pw. św. Wojciecha
Facts and practical information
St. Adalbert Church in Bnin - a post-evangelical Roman Catholic parish church belonging to St. Adalbert Parish in Bnin. It stands at Jeziorna Street, corner of Szeroka Street.
The temple was built in the years 1826-1827 in classical style, on the site of the former timber framed church, founded by Teofila Potulicka. It is a hall-like, rectangular building with a vestry in the north and a porch in the west. It was consecrated as a Roman Catholic church in 1945, when the remains of furnishings from an earlier Catholic church demolished by the Nazis in 1942 were transferred here. This temple dates from the years 1448-1463.
Inside there is, among others, a pisakovite octagonal Gothic baptismal font from the second half of the 15th century. The church also has five bells. The post-war grotto of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built next to the church. The former pastor's house serves as a kindergarten.
