Arbeitslager Landeshut - a branch of the German Gross Rosen concentration camp in Kamienna Góra, Lower Silesia, one of the numerous Gross Rosen sub-camps.
It began operating on July 16, 1944. Prisoners from various European countries were held here, they were: Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Russians, Germans, Belgians, French, Italians, Jews, Belarusians, Ukrainians, Albanians. It was a men's camp. The prisoners did slave labor for the industrial plants in the city and its surroundings; they were also employed in digging underground caves and tunnels and in the construction of war infrastructure.
The position of camp commandant was held by: Gross, Helmut Hanke, Hugon Petzner.
The sub-camp was dissolved on May 8, 1945. The branch functioned for 292 days.
Today in Kamienna Góra the memory of those who died in the camp is honored. There is a grave in the municipal cemetery, while on the slope of Góra Parkowa there is a monument dedicated to the murdered.
